Settling in for success: International student wellbeing workshop 3 – Staying grounded
03 Sep 2025 10:00 AM - 03 Sep 2025 7:00 PM
- Mt Helen Campus
Starting university in a new country can be both exciting and challenging.
Our Settling in for success workshops are designed to help you progress at Federation University — not just academically, but emotionally and socially too.
There are three 3-hour workshops, each focused on helping you feel at home in Australia and at Federation. You'll learn practical skills to navigate cultural adjustments, manage stress, and build a stronger support network here in Australia.
We’re here to help you succeed and feel right at home. It’s not just about surviving — it’s about thriving. Whether you're worried about homesickness, managing study pressure, or simply want to feel more confident in your new environment, these workshops are for you.
Workshop 3: Staying grounded
In this final of the three workshops, we’ll help you to maintain and enhance the wellbeing discussed in Workshop 2. We will show you how to develop self-awareness, plus tactics for taking care of yourself physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and professionally.
In a friendly and supportive environment, you’ll explore:
• how self-awareness is a key part of self-care
• the different domains of self-care
• what might work for you and what you’d like to do more often to maintain your wellbeing
• developing your own effective self-care plan.
