Start 2026 and rewind to the best bits of the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s at Flashback Fest, a free, fun, retro-themed student event packed with music, games, food and giveaways.
Dance along to music and live acts spinning throwback hits, jump into a silent disco with themed playlists, and explore interactive zones featuring classic arcade games like Pac-Man, Mario Kart and Dance Revolution. Get creative with DIY pixel art and friendship bracelets, or snap a pic at the retro themed photo zones. There will be colour and vibes with roaming entertainment for extra fun.
Meet student clubs and societies, sports teams, and community and support services, plus visit information booths for counselling, student support, study skills, academic resources and more.
Refuel with retro-inspired snacks like hot chips, Mr Wippy, popcorn and themed drinks, grab some free giveaways and merch, and jump into competitions including high-score challenges and QR scavenger hunts. Dress up if you dare!

• This event includes live music, DJs and general crowd noise. Sound levels may vary across the day and between campuses.
• Live performers and African drumming are scheduled, so noise levels are expected to be louder at times. A designated chill-out/quiet space will be available in the library for anyone who needs a break from sensory stimulation.
• Lighting effects may include bright colours and neon displays in some zones.
• You’re welcome to move between areas, take breaks, or step away at any time to support your comfort.
